    Richard Cunningham is stepping down as head of the UCCF after 20 years

    Richard Cunningham is to step down as nationwide director of the Universities and Faculties Christian Fellowship (UCCF) after 20 years.

    “It has been an immense privilege to guide UCCF for the previous 20 years and I’m so grateful to the workers and supporters with out whom our CUs wouldn’t be adequately funded,” he mentioned in a press release.

    “The witness of college CUs – college students reaching college students for Christ – is as vital at the moment because it has ever been and deserves widespread assist throughout the church.”

    The announcement follows a difficult 15 months for UCCF, which noticed an impartial investigation into considerations about its employment insurance policies and practices. Some complaints had been upheld, prompting an apology from UCCF.

    “I can't faux that this 12 months hasn't been an enormous burden on me and my household, and after prayerful consideration, I'm making this my final tutorial 12 months at UCCF,” Cunningham mentioned.
