    Palestinian-American doctor walks out of meeting with Biden over Gaza crisis

    A Palestinian-American physician reportedly walked out of a gathering between Muslim leaders and President Joe Biden on Tuesday, expressing frustration with the administration's response to the Gaza disaster.

    Dr. Thaer Ahmad, who volunteered with Khan Younis throughout the latest preventing in Gaza, instructed NBC Information that he left the assembly “to permit the administration to really feel the best way we've felt for the final six months and sort of stand up and stroll away from them. .”

    Earlier than leaving, Ahmad handed President Biden a letter written by an 8-year-old orphan from Rafah, in line with NBC Information.

    The assembly was organized after the White Home canceled the Iftar banquet and as an alternative opted for a staff-only dinner with a separate gathering for Muslim leaders. This adjustment got here on the request of leaders who believed that the dinner was not an acceptable setting to debate the struggling in Gaza. Many leaders reportedly declined the White Home invitation.

    Tensions between the Biden administration and the Muslim group have intensified over President Biden's choice to proceed sending weapons to Israel for its navy marketing campaign in Gaza.

    The incident underscores rising frustration within the Muslim group over the U.S. response to the Gaza battle and highlights ongoing issues in diplomatic relations.
