    Meagan Good tackles domestic violence in sports on 'Law & Order: SVU'

    Meagan Good will deal with the problem of home violence in sports activities in an upcoming episode of “Legislation & Order: Particular Victims Unit.”

    Good, a 33-year-old Christian actress, will play the girlfriend of actor Chad Coleman's character, who’s an “ex-sports star turned reporter,” in accordance with Deadline.com. Coleman is accused of bodily assaulting his girlfriend within the episode titled “Spousal Privilege,” and the couple tries to keep away from the ordeal going public.

    Whereas it's unclear if Coleman's character is a former NFL participant within the episode scheduled for November, SVU showrunner Warren Leight defined his resolution to discover the problem.

    “Home violence, with a push from Mariska Hargitay's NO MORE marketing campaign, has just lately sparked a long-needed nationwide dialogue,” Leight stated in an announcement. “'Spousal Privilege' explores the non-public and authorized complexities of this intractable problem. We’re thrilled to have Chad and Meagan be part of us to deal with this difficult episode.”

    NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell introduced that the NFL will associate with the Nationwide Home Violence Hotline and the Nationwide Sexual Violence Useful resource Middle whereas former FBI Director Robert Mueller conducts an unbiased investigation into home violence points.

    “Legislation & Order: SVU” airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on NBC.
