Yorkville Christian 14, Elgin 2: Yorkville Christian's Grace Allgood struck out 18 and went 2-for-5 with a triple and an RBI on the plate. Emma Schleining went 4-for-4 with a grand slam, a double and 6 RBIs and Bridget Hooper went 4-for-4 with three doubles and three RBIs.
Sycamore 10-4, Sandwich 0-1: Alexis Sinetos went 2-for-3 and Peyton Dudzik 1-for-2 within the first sport and Jillian Ashley went 2-for-3 and Aubrey Cyr hit a solo homer within the second sport for Sandwich (12-8).
BASEBALL
Plano 14, Gardner South Wilmington 4: Jake Decker went 4-for-4 with a homer and 4 RBIs, Matt Bruell went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and Julius Trevino earned the win, going three over 4 innings, for Plano (20-8). Nick Serio homered and drove in two.
Oswego East 8, Bolingbrook 1: Profitable pitcher Allen Chorba, Ernest Williams and Noah Diest mixed for 2 hits for the Wolves (12-13). Jackson Petsche and Mason Palermo every had a number of hits.
RUNWAY BOYS
Invitation Genoa-Kingston: Sandwich completed third and Newark completed eleventh within the 14-team invitational gained by Woodstock. Sandwich's Simeion Harris gained the 400 in 51.27 seconds and Newark's Logan Pasakarnis was second in 51.49, Pasakarnis was second within the 800 (2:05.81), Sandwich's Nathan Hill, Brodie Case, Harris, Kayden Web page gained the 4×148 relay , 4×100. RUNWAY GIRLS
Invitation Genoa-Kingston: Newark was third and Sandwich fourth within the 14-team meet gained by Seneca. Newark's Kiara Wesseh gained the 100 hurdles (16.61), 300 hurdles (47.21) and excessive bounce (1.62 meters). Newark's Brooklyn Hatteberg was second within the 200 (28.62), Sandwich's Joanna Rivera was first within the 800 (2:35.46) and teammate Kayla Kressin second (2:38.38), Sandwich's Erin Lissman was second within the 1,500.800 .
Newark's Tess Carlson, Addison Ness, Hatteberg and Wesseh gained the 4×200 relay in 1:48.45, Newark's Tess Carlson, Brooklyn Hatteberg, Madison Sittler, Addison Ness was second within the 4×400 relay in 4:22.29, Carlson was second in pole place. (3.05 meters) and Ness gained the triple bounce (9.64 meters).
