Josh Manson is a defenseman with the Colorado Avalanche. He’s been a key contributor since becoming a member of Colorado by way of commerce in March 2022, and helped the Avs win the Stanley Cup later that season. He scored a purpose in Sport 2 of the Stanley Cup Closing towards the Tampa Bay Lightning, and likewise arrange the eventual Cup-winning purpose in Sport 6. In July 2022, Manson agreed to a four-year contract to return to Colorado.
Initially chosen within the sixth spherical of the 2011 NHL Draft by the Anaheim Geese, Manson made his NHL debut in 2014. He performed greater than seven seasons with the Geese earlier than getting dealt to Colorado. In school at Northeastern (in Boston), Manson was awarded the Hockey East Convention’s Greatest Defensive Defenseman award in 2013-14, and likewise named to the 2013-14 Hockey East Second All-Star Group.
Josh’s father, Dave Manson, was a first-round NHL decide in 1985 and performed within the league from 1986-2002.
