Speaker of the Home Mike Johnson opposes the Biden administration's new coverage towards Israel and the West Financial institution, saying in a social media submit that “the Jewish individuals have a historic and authorized proper to reside within the land of Israel, together with Judea and Samaria — the biblical heartland.”
This can be a new US State Division coverage that deems new Israeli houses and settlements within the West Financial institution “incompatible with worldwide legislation.”
“Our administration maintains sturdy opposition to settlement growth, and in our judgment it solely weakens, not strengthens, Israel's safety,” US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated final week.
The Biden administration says the coverage is a return to pre-Trump insurance policies held by each Democratic and Republican presidents for many years. In 2019, then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo introduced that the Trump administration doesn’t contemplate West Financial institution settlements to be “incompatible with worldwide legislation”.
In a submit on X (previously Twitter), Johnson criticized Biden's insurance policies.

David M Friedman, US ambassador to Israel beneath former President Trump, stated on social media: “Blinken is 100% flawed.”
