“Nevertheless, the mainstream media, which scoffed on the notion that 'postal voting' was much less safe than in-person voting, obscured the reality,” the AFL wrote.

By October 2020, CISA had produced a chart outlining the six dangers of postal voting.

    They had been:

    • “Implementing postal voting infrastructure and processes inside a compressed timeline might also introduce new dangers.”
    • “Voting by mail shifts among the dangers beneath the management of election officers throughout in-person voting to exterior entities equivalent to poll printers, mail processing services, and the US Postal Service.”
    • “Integrity assaults on voter registration knowledge and techniques pose the next threat in a vote-by-mail setting in comparison with an in-person voting setting.”
    • “The outbound and inbound processing of mail-in ballots introduces further infrastructure and know-how, growing the potential scalability of cyber assaults.”
    • “Voting and mail-in tabulation processes take longer than in-person processing, which causes outcomes to be tabulated extra slowly and leads to extra ballots needing to be compiled after election evening.”
    • “The danger of disinformation to postal voting infrastructure and processes is just like in-person voting utilizing different content material. Risk actors can reap the benefits of restricted understanding of postal voting processes to mislead and confuse the general public.”

Forward of the 2020 election, CISA's Election Integrity Partnership (EIP) targeted on “tales”, the AFL defined.

In line with the EIP report, “Forward of the 2020 election, disinformation targeted on postal voting: the destruction and discarding of real ballots and the 'discovery' of pretend ones.

CISA additionally used consulting agency Deloitte to censor posts that questioned the integrity of the ballots submitted.

Deloitte shared with CISA that “POTUS accused 'faux information' of a 'corrupt media conspiracy' to make use of protection of the COVID-19 pandemic to sway the election, claiming that 'the topic will fully change after Election Day.'

The agency additionally instructed the company that Twitter had flagged Donald Trump's publish that there have been “main points and irregularities with mail-in ballots.”

“Frequent sense dictates that mail-in ballots are inherently much less safe than a verified in-person vote by a citizen who reveals identification earlier than casting their vote,” stated America First Authorized Vice President and Common Counsel Gene Hamilton. “CISA obtained the information and was conscious of the dangers of mass mail-in voting, however on the identical time engaged in an unprecedented censorship marketing campaign to mislead the American folks in regards to the fact and lots of different issues, equivalent to Hunter Biden's laptop computer. .
