    Nicaraguan police crack down on religious leaders

    A Christian church in Nicaragua is being focused by police in an ongoing crackdown on spiritual leaders, with eleven Roman Catholic leaders detained within the newest wave of arrests.

    The arrests comply with the sooner detention of deacon Ervin Aguirre, who was reportedly arrested on August 2, solely to be launched the next day, and 79-year-old priest Frutos Constantino Valle Salmerón, arrested within the Diocese of Estelí in Managua whereas getting ready for the ordination of three deacons on July 26.
