A Christian faculty in Maine has reportedly been denied an exemption from the state's LGBT anti-discrimination necessities.
U.S. District Choose John Woodcock reportedly denied an injunction earlier this week sought by Crosspoint Church-operated Bangor Christian Faculties, saying the church's lawsuit in opposition to the officers is unlikely to succeed.
“The court docket held that instructional anti-discrimination provisions don’t violate the free train clause as a result of they’re impartial, usually relevant and rationally associated to a authentic authorities curiosity,” Woodcock stated.

First Liberty Institute Senior Counsel Lea Patterson, representing Crosspoint, defined plans to attraction the ruling.

Patterson argued that the provisions on gender identification and sexual orientation seem “designed to forestall spiritual faculties from collaborating” within the state curriculum.
