Detroit Pistons' Jaden Ivey used his postgame interview to share the gospel

Rising Detroit Pistons star Jaden Ivey needed to make one factor clear in a latest postgame interview: “Jesus is coming again.”

After scoring 34 factors in his group's victory towards the Brooklyn Nets final week, the 22-year-old level guard expressed gratitude for his success and attributed it to his unwavering religion in Jesus Christ.

“I give all of the glory to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for giving me these items,” Ivey mentioned. “I'm planting the seed each day and simply persevering with to belief God … to … develop my sport.”

Earlier than concluding the press convention, Ivey shared a message of hope, quoting John 14:6 and urging the viewers to embrace their religion.

“I simply need to say that Jesus is the best way, the reality, the life,” Ivey mentioned. “And to each one of many world that heareth this message, the dominion of heaven is close to.” Jesus is coming again and all of us have to repent of our sins and put our religion in Jesus.

This isn’t the primary time Ivey has spoken about his religion. In earlier interviews and press conferences, he has constantly acknowledged the function of God in his life and profession. Neither is he the one younger athlete to talk out about his religion. Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs has been open about God's goodness all through his profession, whereas New Orleans Saints participant Demario Davis shared the miraculous story of how God healed his daughter final fall.
