    Christian leaders in France, UK hit back at 'mockery of Christianity' at Paris Olympics opening ceremony

    Christians continued to talk out towards offensive scenes on the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, which included an obvious depiction of the Final Supper with drag queens.

    The controversial scene featured a line-up of drag queens writhing suggestively on both aspect of DJ Barbara Butch, a lesbian activist.

    The French bishops' convention issued an announcement on Saturday suggesting that the “great moments of magnificence, pleasure, wealthy feelings” in the course of the four-hour ceremony had been let down by different parts.

    “Nonetheless, this ceremony sadly included scenes of mockery and mockery of Christianity, which we deeply remorse,” the bishops stated.

    British Evangelical Alliance chief govt Gavin Calver on Saturday referred to as the Final Supper depiction “extremely silly” and stated it was “actually appalling to see Christianity so overtly mocked on the opening ceremony”.

    He stated the scene was “completely insensitive, pointless and offensive”.
