    President Joe Biden has formally secured the Democratic presidential nomination for the 2024 election.

    Though the president has outperformed within the polls over the previous few months, Biden formally clinched his celebration's nomination Tuesday after primaries in Georgia, Mississippi and Washington state.

    Biden had 1,872 delegates this week and swept 14 of 15 contests.
