The 5 US sailors who died in a helicopter crash in California have been recognized.
They’re:
- Lance Cpl. Donovan Davis, 21, of Kansas
- Sgt. Alec Langen, 23, from Arizona
- Captain Benjamin Moulton, 27, of Idaho
- Captain Jack Casey, 26, of New Hampshire
- Capt. Miguel Nava, 28, of Michigan
Lt. Col. Nicholas J. Harvey mentioned in a information launch, “We have been confronted with a tragedy that’s each service household's worst worry. Our prime precedence now could be to assist the households of our fallen heroes and we ask in your respect and understanding as they grieve. The Flying Tigers household is robust and consists of the buddies and neighborhood who’ve supported our squadron throughout this difficult time. We will do it collectively.”

The CH-53E Tremendous Stallion helicopter was reported lacking throughout a routine coaching flight from Creech Air Drive Base, northwest of Las Vegas, to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego, Marine Plane Wing 3 mentioned. The airplane was situated Wednesday close to Pine Valley, about 45 miles east of San Diego.
