MUSKEGON – The Western Michigan Christian boys basketball crew topped Muskegon Catholic Central, 57-45, in Alliance League motion on Friday evening.
The groups have been evenly matched within the first quarter, ending in a 10-all tie. Nevertheless, the Warriors discovered a groove and pulled forward 25-17 on the half. The lead continued all through the second half because the Warriors outscored the Crusaders 32-28.
Ben Moorhead led the Warriors with 11 factors, whereas Eli Malek and Derrick Ashley had 10 and 9 factors, respectively.
The Crusaders' Owen Lyonnais led all scorers with 20 factors and grabbed 4 rebounds. Q Lorenz added eight factors and three steals. Will Fedewa had six factors, 4 rebounds and two steals.
WMC (8-8, 2-0) will journey to Kalamazoo Christian on Monday.
Muskegon Catholic Central (4-15, 1-5) will likely be at dwelling for league play towards Grand Rapids West Michigan Aviation Academy on Tuesday.
