Journalists Michael Shellenberger, Matt Taibbi and Alex Gutentag revealed in a report that the US Intelligence Group (IC) used international allies to spy on Donald Trump.
In keeping with sources near the matter, the IC, together with the CIA, “had been illegally mobilizing international intelligence businesses to focus on Trump advisers effectively earlier than the summer time of 2016.”
The data “fills many gaps in our understanding of the Russia collusion fraud and is supported by testimony already within the public document,” the reporters wrote.
America IC requested its “5 Eyes,” a bunch of international intelligence allies consisting of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the UK, to cooperate with the US and share any data gathered on Trump associates.
Sources advised reporters that former President Barack Obama's CIA director John Brennan had “recognized 26 Trump associates to be focused by the 5 Eyes.”
Associates grew to become “targets for assortment and disinformation,” the sources stated.
A number of people reportedly focused included Basic Michael Flynn, Trump international coverage adviser Carter Web page, and Trump adviser George Papadopoulos.
