Oklahoma pastor Mike Keahbone has turn out to be the second individual to be introduced as a candidate for president of the Southern Baptist Conference, the biggest Protestant denomination in the US.
Keahbone, senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Lawton, shall be nominated for SBC president on the SBC's annual assembly on 11-12. June in Indianapolis, Indiana.
California pastor Victor Chayasirisobhon introduced his intention to appoint Keahbone on Tuesday, extolling the Oklahoma minister's love for God and the SBC.
“Mike Keahbone is the actual deal, a pacesetter who loves the Lord, loves the SBC and strives to make it higher each day,” Chayasirisobhon mentioned, as quoted by The Baptist Messenger. “He’s a son of the SBC and I’m assured that he’s greater than able to step up and step into the function of president.

Pastor Chris Justice of Lee Park Baptist Church in Monroe, North Carolina, introduced on January 21 that he was nominating Pressley, in response to The Biblical Recorder.
