Holland Christian freshman Linus VandenBerg is headed to the state golf event.
The Maroons golfer shot a 76 on the Division 2 regional championship at Quail Ridge to complete ninth total and one of many prime three people not on a state-bound group.
The highest three groups and three different people certified for the state event, with Holland Christian coming shut and ending third.
Landon Bergsma contributed 83, Charlie VanVliet 84, Brady Schut 86 and Nolan Karsten 88 for a mixed group rating of 329.
“I'm happy with these males for combating and representing HCHS effectively as we speak,” Holland Christian coach Caleb Nykamp stated. “What an ideal season this yr has been.
Zeeland West tied for seventh with a 342. Freshman Michael Girman led the way in which with a 77 for the Dux, who completed tied for tenth and missed qualifying for the state event by one stroke.
Logan Bomers added 85, Tyler Baumann 88 and Ben Keuning 92 for the Dux.
Hamilton completed eighth (343). Jackson Hansen and Grant Petroelje every shot 84s, Ben Boehn 86, Keaton Haverdink 89 and Max Meiste 93.
Holland was tenth (348). Andrew Legg shot an 80, Connor Huizenga an 85, Preston Logan added an 88, whereas Oscar Miller shot an 85 and Sawyer DeWitt a 97.
Zeeland East completed sixteenth (392). Kolton Gentry led the way in which with a 93. Tanner Treacy and Grady VanDyke adopted with 95 and 98. Caden Arendsen added a 106 for the Chix and Taten Salas shot a 108.
Workforce qualifiers have been Grand Rapids Christian (296), Grand Rapids South Christian (303) and Otsego (311).
Division 1
West Ottawa completed seventh in Division 1 regionals.
The Panthers shot 336 behind Will Niziolek (80), Will Nagelvoort (84), Carson Witvoet (85), Hugh Ervin (87) and Landon Meyer (90).
