Photos of the execution of three Christian males in Nigeria are circulating on social media.
Worldwide Christian Concern (ICC) says the pictures have been shared by the Islamic West Africa Province (ISWAP).
The ICC mentioned in a single picture the lads are kneeling with their palms tied behind their backs in entrance of machine-gunned executioners, whereas in one other they’re being shot.
The boys are believed to have been kidnapped from a car touring on a freeway in Borno State on June 3. Muslim passengers have been reportedly allowed to depart. The destiny of the fourth kidnapped passenger is unknown.
The dying was confirmed by Reverend Ibrahim Abako, the Secretary, Yobe State Chapter of the Christian Affiliation of Nigeria.
“On behalf of the Christian Affiliation of Nigeria, Yobe State Department, we completely condemn the killing of three Christian youths alongside the Damaturu-Biu Federal Freeway,” he advised Nigerian information outlet Management Media Group.
There was a spate of Christian killings by ISWAP this 12 months after ISIS referred to as on its associates in January to kill Christians “wherever you discover them”.
That very same month, 12 Christians have been killed when ISWAP carried out a sequence of assaults on rural Christian communities.
