    The Madison Central tennis groups swept a pair of matches from Frederick Douglass on Tuesday in Richmond.

    The Girl Indians gained 5-0 whereas the Indians gained 3-2.

    In ladies singles, Central's Leah Crump defeated Veda Johnson 6-3, 6-1. Bethany Burns defeated Caraline Sterns 6-1, 6-0 and Kara Erdman defeated Lindsay Bylund 6-2, 6-0

    In ladies doubles, Central's Emily Barney and Amanda Beall defeated Maddie Adams and Jayden Weisenbarger 2-6, 6-2, 1-0 (12-10), whereas Pyper Wasch and Seiil Hooper defeated Tessa Isaacs and Regan Isaacs 6-1, 6 -4.

    In ladies exhibition motion, Douglass' Ellie Majors and Jordan Freese defeated Kacie Bauer and Ashtyn Skidmore 8-6 and FD's Lindsay Bylund and Emily Arnemann defeated Eden Steeves and Meryn Morgan 6-0.

    In boys singles, Central's Chandler Smith defeated Lennon Whiting 6-1, 6-1 and Foster Banks defeated Sashank Jagannathan 6-2, 6-1. Gavin Wsijeri defeated Central's Blake Jasinski 6-0, 6-0.

    In boys doubles, Central's James Grant and Ian Hiles defeated Brody Tyner and Sebastian Malave 6-4, 6-2, whereas FD's Jonas Maggard and Grayson Rice defeated Brayden Prewitt and Brody Renfro 6-0, 6-1.

    In boys exhibition motion, Douglass' Lennon Whiting and Rainier Apor defeated Landon Fornash and Aaron Marcum 8-0, whereas Henry Maggard defeated Heart's Barrett Fuller 8-4.

    Central is scheduled to return to motion Monday at Lexington Christian.

    Somerset Christian fashions

    The Mannequin Laboratory tennis crew picked up two wins over Somerset Christian in Richmond on Tuesday.

    The Girl Patriots and Patriots posted 3-2 crew victories.

    In boys singles, Mannequin's Aiden Blakeman defeated Caleb Taylor 7-6, Cooper Byron topped Kaden Johnson 6-4 and Youngwoo Kim defeated Kyler Johnson 6-2.

    The Patriots misplaced each boys doubles matches.

    Corbin Bray and Cooper Bryon misplaced to Caleb Taylor and Kaden Johnson 7-5, whereas Logan Blakeman and Garrett Kidd misplaced to Isaac Edens and Jacob Gripp 6-4.

    In ladies singles, mannequin Kate Conley defeated Rae Sobieck 6-2 and Jiwoo Kim defeated Mayah Evans 6-0.
